his towing company coerced my wife into signing over the title to our vehicle to erase a bill that was nearly the value of the car. I was unaware at first because she was trying to handle it on her own, and by the time I stepped in and explained the actual Tennessee towing laws, they still gave us a hard time. Instead of knowing the law before touching anyone’s vehicle, they tried to blame the grocery store — which doesn’t change the fact that I no longer had my car. They ignored multiple basic legal requirements that every towing company is supposed to follow, and anyone else towed from here should seriously consider contesting it. The car was parked in a grocery store lot with no tow‑away signs anywhere. The only thing posted was a small criminal‑trespass notice that applied to the area behind the sign — not the parking lot. It was over 25 feet away, low to the ground, and turned sideways. These are the facts.”
